App optimization
As a UX Designer at FK Distribution at their product development department, my responsibility was to develop and optimize the app ‘My offer’ (minetilbud).
Here’s an example on how i solved a concept development on a feature for the app, Minetilbud.
‘The best offer of the week’ (Ugens bedste tilbud) was a feature of the Minetilbud app. The task was to show clipped offers in a new and interactive way. A lot like a Pinterest design. My role was to translate the product owner’s wishes into the design. The idea as a concept had been decided and testet earlier on. I was to design an user-friendly experience in the app and tablet and then usertest the usability.
I often start sketching my ideas down. It’s a quick way to communicate the ideas further in the team. Sometimes it’s a quick handdrawn sketch other times it would be a actual wireframe.
Wireframes helps me focus on the actual user interaction. It can be an advantage that the design does not look 100% finished at this stage. As if the goal is to understand the optimal usage not the final design.
The final stage is designing a prototype close to the final design. I use Sketch and Invision for this. But sometimes I jump into my beloved Adobe Illustrator to draw icons and vector graphics.
Part of this project, I optimized the design of the entire app (2016).
I was very much involved in the marketing material used to launch the concept.
