Data visualization & reporting
During my time at A.P. At Moller Maersk, I worked on an internal product called StarConnect Energy that improved the user experience and usability. This product acts as a reporting system that ensures and monitors the vessels energy consumption and their performance. In addition to quite a lot of manual input from the users, the product also has data from IoT sensors on the vessel.
Highlights of project I worked at during my time with StarConnect Energy
- Concept development: Concept development from various user insights.
- Redesigns & implementation of Design System in the product: Creating a consistent user experience through the product
- Stakeholder & user invovlement: Initiatives with different teams, stakeholders, end users and change management in workshops and concept tests to create a streamlined way to support and help users in the system. Creating user panel and facilitated remote user testing with end users.
- Colloaboration: Facilitated and collaborated cross teams with other designers in creating UX guidelines, User profiles and UX consistency.
Working in a product that is part of a bigger user flow requires collaboration and a lot of cross team knowledge sharing. Here’s an example on how insights from subject matter experts cross teams was collected from short interviews and concept tests.
Methods: Interviews, prototype testing, alignment workshops.
Wireframes used to communicate and iterate concepts.
Methods: Sketching, wireframing, prototyping, quantitative research and design testing.
Interaction maps and wireframes are often like table of content, used to understand what the final UI need to take into account and what functionalities are expected. But also highlights what users think is important to them.
Methods: Stakeholder workshops, interaction mapping, user flows, mockups & alignment workshops.
