Creation flow

Through my time at Autoit, I have worked continuously on improving the user experience and usability on Biltorvet, a website that aggregates new and used cars from car dealers throughout all of Denmark.

As a privat user, you are able to sell your vehicle. Like many competitors, this is a service users would expect at Biltorvet. But yet, this service differs greatly from service to service.

A short description of the process

  • Insights: A thorough review of what works well and not so well in our existing concept and at the competitors. What potential concepts can be developed from this inspiration and the like.  
  • Conceptualizing: Sketching and wireframing. Developing business potentials and ideas. Userflow is tested in different variations.
  • Designing: Prototyping, low and high. The actual usage of look and feel.
  • Testing: User testing  with actual users to see if they have any challenges with the usability and overall design.  
  • Designing: Adjusting design, adjusting userflow etc.
  • Delivering: Assets to developers, adding to the existing design system. And again adjusting as it is developed.

 

Sketching and wireframing is the phase where I can communicate the ideas of potential business concepts for the product owner and the team.
It is also here, the user flow comes in hand, as everyone in the team gets to see a fait idea on how it might actually be with the ui in mind.
